Detailed vulnerability description
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to cause DoS condition on the target system.
The weakness exists in QPDFTokenizer::resolveLiteral() in QPDFTokenizer.cc, related to the QPDF::resolve function in QPDF.cc due to endless recursion. A remote attacker can trigger stack exhaustion and cause the service to crash.
