Detailed vulnerability description

The vulnerability allows a remote user to execute arbitrary commands.

The vulnerability exists due to improper access control in the /updater/restore-db endpoint when handling a crafted restore request referencing an attacker-created backup file. A remote user can send a specially crafted request to execute arbitrary commands.

Exploitation requires a compromised security key and the ability to create an arbitrary file in the /storage/backups folder.
