Detailed vulnerability description
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to cause a denial of service.
The vulnerability exists due to null pointer dereference in cookie reply handling when processing crafted DNS responses. A remote attacker can send a crafted DNS response to cause a denial of service.
Note, cookies are disabled by default.
