Detailed vulnerability description

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to redirect client connections to unintended ports.

The vulnerability exists due to signed to unsigned conversion error in parse_uri() when parsing port values in URIs from device descriptions or LOCATION headers. A remote attacker can supply a specially crafted out-of-range port value to redirect client connections to unintended ports.

The issue is reachable through a rogue UPnP device, SSDP spoofing, or a man-in-the-middle response.
