Detailed vulnerability description

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.

The weakness exists due to improper handling of values vulnerability in Webviews. A remote attacker can use an app which allows execution of 3rd party code and disallows node integration to execute arbitrary code.

How to mitigate CVE-2018-1000136

The vulnerability has been addressed in the following versions: 1.7.13, 1.8.4, 2.0.0-beta.4.
