Detailed vulnerability description

The vulnerability allows a remote user to cause a denial of service.

The vulnerability exists due to improper access control in the /api/server/shutdown endpoint when handling shutdown requests. A remote user can send a request to the shutdown endpoint to cause a denial of service.

The issue can be abused repeatedly, resulting in cyclic service interruptions with approximately 3-second restart intervals.
