Detailed vulnerability description

The vulnerability allows a local user to cause a denial of service.

The vulnerability exists due to a buffer overflow in the TH1520 AON firmware protocol driver when processing firmware protocol data. A local user can trigger the vulnerable code path to cause a denial of service.

The issue was identified in access to the 'mode' field through the 'resource' pointer using an offset.
