Vulnerability details

The vulnerability allows a local user to modify read-only memory mappings.

The vulnerability exists due to improper access control in xe_pagefault_service when handling write or atomic page faults on read-only VMAs. A local user can trigger a write or atomic access to modify read-only memory mappings.
