Detailed vulnerability description

The vulnerability allows a remote user to disclose sensitive information.

The vulnerability exists due to improper access control in the Argo CD web terminal session when handling websocket messages after exec permission revocation. A remote privileged user can keep an existing terminal session open and send websocket messages to disclose sensitive information.

Exploitation requires the web-based terminal feature to be enabled and the user to have previously been granted exec access before that permission is revoked.
