Description

The vulnerability allows a local attacker to cause a denial of service.

The vulnerability exists due to improper exception handling in hfs superblock CNID count checks when processing a corrupted MDB. A local attacker can supply a crafted corrupted filesystem image to trigger a kernel BUG and cause a denial of service.
