Linux kernel

Detailed vulnerability description

The vulnerability allows a local user to cause a denial of service.

The vulnerability exists due to improper handling of inaccessible devices in Intel IOMMU dev-iotlb flush logic when releasing or detaching a PCIe endpoint after its link drops. A local user can trigger device release or detachment for an ATS-enabled passed-through PCIe endpoint to cause a denial of service.

The issue occurs when scalable mode is disabled or unsupported, and it can also be triggered after a link fault leaves the endpoint inaccessible without a link-down event.
