Detailed vulnerability description
The vulnerability allows a local user to cause a denial of service.
The vulnerability exists due to improper resource management in volume label handling when parsing a crafted EROFS image. A local user can supply a specially crafted filesystem image to cause a denial of service.
The issue leads to folio reference leaks and does not result in system crashes or other severe effects.
