Vulnerability details
The vulnerability allows a local user to cause a denial of service.
The vulnerability exists due to a null pointer dereference in __acpi_processor_start() when starting an ACPI processor without a cpuidle driver. A local user can trigger processor startup in this state to cause a denial of service.
