Vulnerability details

The vulnerability allows a local user to cause a denial of service.

The vulnerability exists due to improper handling of error pointers in afs callers of rxrpc_kernel_lookup_peer() when handling peer lookup results. A local user can trigger code paths that cause an error pointer to be mishandled to cause a denial of service.
