Vulnerability details

The vulnerability allows a local user to cause a denial of service.

The vulnerability exists due to improper synchronization in kick_cpus_irq_workfn() when processing SCX_KICK_WAIT. A local user can trigger cyclic CPU waits to cause a denial of service.

The issue can deadlock multiple CPUs when they form a wait cycle in hardirq context.
