Detailed vulnerability description

The vulnerability allows a local user to cause a denial of service.

The vulnerability exists due to improper resource management in the Verisilicon H.264 and HEVC decoding path when performing simultaneous decoding on g1 and g2 VPU hardware. A local user can trigger concurrent decode operations to cause a denial of service.

This issue is specific to the i.MX8MQ platform and may also produce corrupted pictures.
