Description

The vulnerability allows a local user to cause a denial of service.

The vulnerability exists due to improper lock management in the drm/amd/display hardware sequencing fast path when using the DMUB HW lock on ASICs without FAMS support. A local user can trigger the fast path to cause a denial of service.

Exploitation is limited to systems using the affected fast path on ASICs without FAMS support.
