Detailed vulnerability description
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to cause a denial of service.
The vulnerability exists due to improper input validation in the NFS server readdir and readdirplus request handling when processing crafted NFS directory read requests. A remote attacker can send a specially crafted request to cause a denial of service.
The issue can crash the kernel.
