Published: May 14, 2026
BIG-IP
Detailed vulnerability description
The vulnerability allows a remote user to execute arbitrary system commands with higher privileges.
The vulnerability exists due to execution with unnecessary privileges in BIG-IP scripted monitor when handling requests to the affected iControl REST endpoint or processing the affected tmsh command. A remote privileged user can invoke the vulnerable functionality to execute arbitrary system commands with higher privileges.
In appliance mode deployments, successful exploitation can cross a security boundary. There is no data plane exposure; this is a control plane issue only.
