Vulnerability details

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to cause a denial of service.

The vulnerability exists due to uncontrolled resource consumption in the html5client/useragent endpoint when parsing the User-Agent header. A remote attacker can send a specially crafted request to cause a denial of service.

The issue is triggered by excessive processing in the regular expression engine during device detection.
