Detailed vulnerability description

The vulnerability allows a local user to cause a denial of service.

The vulnerability exists due to a memory leak in raid1_run() when handling an error path after thread registration. A local user can trigger the vulnerable code path to cause a denial of service.

The issue occurs if raid1_set_limits() fails after setup_conf() has already registered a thread.
