Vulnerability details

The vulnerability allows a local user to disclose sensitive information.

The vulnerability exists due to use of uninitialized memory in ntfs3 compression handling when processing compressed file data. A local user can trigger compression operations that use partially initialized folios to disclose sensitive information.
