Vulnerability details

The vulnerability allows a remote user to escalate privileges.

The vulnerability exists due to missing authorization in the command line interface (CLI) when handling administrator CLI access. A remote privileged user can perform actions on the device with root privileges to escalate privileges.

This issue applies to PAN-OS software on PA-Series and VM-Series firewalls and on Panorama.
