Vulnerability details

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to disclose sensitive information and execute arbitrary code.

The vulnerability exists due to UNIX symbolic link following in BaseFileComponent._unpack_bundle in BaseFileComponent-based nodes when processing a user-supplied tar archive. A remote attacker can upload a crafted tar archive containing symlinks to disclose sensitive information and execute arbitrary code.

User interaction is required to ingest the crafted file, and code execution requires a subsequent authentication bypass chain using a disclosed JWT signing secret.
