Detailed vulnerability description
The vulnerability allows a local attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error in Windows Resilient File System (ReFS). An attacker with physical access can insert a specially crafted USB device, trigger a heap-based buffer overflow and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
