Detailed vulnerability description

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to cause DoS condition on the target system.

The vulnerability exists due to improper handling of DNS responses by Windows Domain Name System (DNS) DNSAPI.dll. A remote attacker can use a malicious DNS server to send corrupted DNS responses and cause a system to stop responding.
