Detailed vulnerability description

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code.

The vulnerability exists due to out-of-bounds read in Microsoft Office for macOS when processing crafted content locally. A remote attacker can cause the application to process a specially crafted file or preview crafted content to execute arbitrary code.

The Preview Pane is an attack vector.
