Detailed vulnerability description
The vulnerability allows a local user to cause a denial of service.
The vulnerability exists due to a memory leak in rss_prepare_get() in net/ethtool/rss.c when handling a get_rxfh operation failure. A local user can trigger an error path to cause a denial of service.
