Detailed vulnerability description

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to bypass DNSSEC wildcard validation.

The vulnerability exists due to insufficient validation of DNSSEC signatures in the DNSSEC wildcard validation logic when processing a crafted reply from an authoritative server. A remote attacker can send a crafted reply to bypass DNSSEC wildcard validation.
