Detailed vulnerability description

The vulnerability allows a remote user to cause a denial of service.

The vulnerability exists due to uncontrolled resource consumption in the alertmanager templates test endpoint when executing templates without memory limits. A remote user can send a large number of template execution requests to cause a denial of service.

Anonymous access must be enabled for unauthenticated exploitation.
