Detailed vulnerability description
The vulnerability allows a local user to cause a denial of service.
The vulnerability exists due to a NULL pointer dereference in dma_handle_rx() in the pch_uart driver when handling DMA receive operations after coherent DMA buffer allocation fails. A local user can trigger allocation failure conditions to cause a denial of service.
