Vulnerability details
The vulnerability allows a local user to cause a denial of service.
The vulnerability exists due to an out-of-bounds read in the qmp_v2_configure_dp_swing function when processing displayport swing configuration values. A local user can provide crafted swing and pre-emphasis levels to trigger an out-of-bounds access and cause a denial of service.
