Detailed vulnerability description

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary commands.

The vulnerability exists due to command injection in the @kitty-echo and @kitty-ssh DCS handlers when processing untrusted DCS escape sequences. A remote attacker can send specially crafted escape sequences to execute arbitrary commands.

User interaction is required to display or cat untrusted data in a vulnerable terminal session.
