Vulnerability details

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to cause a denial of service.

The vulnerability exists due to a null pointer dereference in the h.264 video parser when parsing a specially crafted h.264 video file. A remote attacker can supply a specially crafted h.264 video file to cause a denial of service.

This occurs when parsing fails partway through during cleanup of allocated structures while freeing partially parsed SPS and MVC data.
