Vulnerability details
The vulnerability allows a local user to cause a denial of service.
The vulnerability exists due to out-of-bounds read in xfrm_state_find() when processing outbound xfrm policies with optional IPTFS templates. A local user can create a crafted outbound policy and trigger packet processing to cause a denial of service.
Only outbound policies are affected; IN and FWD policies are not impacted.
