CWE-ID: CWE-416
Exploitation vector: Local access
Exploit availability: No public exploit available

Vulnerability details

The vulnerability allows a local user to cause a denial of service.

The vulnerability exists due to use-after-free in the amdxdna job scheduler when accessing job->mm from the DRM scheduler worker thread after job submission. A local user can submit a job and trigger access to a freed mm_struct to cause a denial of service.

The issue arises because current->mm is stored as a raw pointer without holding a structural reference for the lifetime of the job.
