Deadlock in Linux kernel - CVE-2026-68382
Published: August 12, 2026
Vulnerability details
The vulnerability allows a local user to cause a denial of service.
The vulnerability exists due to a deadlock condition in the GuC exec queue destruction logic in the xe drm driver when asynchronously tearing down exec queues during device cleanup. A local user can trigger asynchronous queue destruction to cause a denial of service.
The issue arises when final device reference handling occurs from a destroy worker while cleanup is draining the same workqueue.
