Vulnerability details

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to disclose sensitive information.

The vulnerability exists due to buffer over-read in Windows SMB Client when handling crafted SMB traffic over a network. A remote attacker can send crafted SMB data to disclose sensitive information.

User interaction is required for exploitation.
