Vulnerability details

The vulnerability allows a local user to cause a denial of service.

The vulnerability exists due to a use-after-free in rds_tcp_skbuf_handler in the RDS TCP sysctl handler when handling a concurrent sysctl write during network namespace teardown. A local user can trigger a concurrent sysctl write to cause a denial of service.

The race occurs because the network namespace is derived from a listen socket that may already have been freed.
