Vulnerability details

The vulnerability allows a local user to cause a denial of service.

The vulnerability exists due to improper state management in drm_gpusvm_get_pages() and the err_unmap cleanup path when handling device page mappings after a later page-mapping error. A local user can trigger a later mapping error after device mappings have already been created to cause a denial of service.

The issue occurs because previously created device mappings are not cleaned up if a later page mapping fails.
