Vulnerability details

The vulnerability allows a local user to cause a denial of service.

The vulnerability exists due to improper resource management in dcmipp_bytecap_start_streaming() when starting video buffer streaming with an unresolved source subdevice in the media graph. A local user can trigger streaming setup in this state to cause a denial of service.

The issue occurs because queued buffers are not returned on the early error path, which can trigger a WARN_ON and leak buffers.
