Vulnerability details
The vulnerability allows a local user to cause a denial of service.
The vulnerability exists due to a NULL pointer dereference in the mmiotrace read() function when reading mmiotrace data after mmio_pipe_open() fails to find a PCI device. A local user can trigger the vulnerable read path to cause a denial of service.
