Vulnerability details

The vulnerability allows a local user to disclose sensitive information.

The vulnerability exists due to a heap-based buffer overflow in the radiance image decoder when parsing a well-crafted run length encoded radiance image. A local user can supply a specially crafted image to disclose sensitive information.

Only libvips builds with support for loading radiance images are vulnerable.
