Use-after-free in Linux kernel - CVE-2026-74422
Published: August 15, 2026
Vulnerability details
The vulnerability allows a local user to cause a denial of service.
The vulnerability exists due to use-after-free in the inno_hdmi_rockchip_bind() encoder structure handling when cleaning up the DRM encoder after component unbind. A local user can trigger the vulnerable cleanup sequence to cause a denial of service.
The issue occurs because the encoder-containing structure can be released by the component framework before drm_dev_put() later triggers encoder cleanup.
