Vulnerability details

The vulnerability allows a local user to cause a denial of service.

The vulnerability exists due to improper handling of error return values in pin_job() in the host1x GPU driver when mapping scatter-gather tables through the IOMMU. A local user can trigger the affected code path to cause a denial of service.

The issue involves assigning the iommu_map_sgtable() result to an incorrect integer type, which can turn error conditions into negative overflowed values.
