CVE-ID: CVE-2026-74274
CWE-ID: CWE-476
Exploitation vector: Local access
Exploit availability: No public exploit available

Vulnerability details

The vulnerability allows a local user to cause a denial of service.

The vulnerability exists due to a null pointer dereference in the cxl region auto-discovery target array handling in drivers/cxl/core/region.c when attaching endpoint decoders to an auto-assembly region. A local user can trigger auto-discovery with a target array containing NULL holes to cause a denial of service.

The issue can occur when a removed endpoint decoder leaves a NULL hole in the target array instead of being the last element.
