Vulnerability details

The vulnerability allows a local user to cause a denial of service.

The vulnerability exists due to double free in comp_register_videodev() when handling a video device registration failure. A local user can trigger a device_register() failure during video device registration to cause a denial of service.

The issue occurs in the Linux kernel staging MOST video driver.
