Vulnerability details

The vulnerability allows a local user to cause a denial of service.

The vulnerability exists due to a double free in kfd_criu_resume_svm() when handling a second AMDKFD_IOC_CRIU_OP request from the same process via /dev/kfd. A local user can trigger repeated cleanup of freed list entries to cause a denial of service.

The issue is reachable by an unprivileged render-group user and is caused by stale list entries left in the criu_svm_metadata_list after cleanup.
