Vulnerability details

The vulnerability allows a local attacker to cause a denial of service.

The vulnerability exists due to a NULL pointer dereference in the msc313 RTC shared IRQ handler when handling a shared IRQ during device probe before driver data is initialized. A local attacker can trigger the shared interrupt in that window to cause a denial of service.

The issue occurs in interrupt context on systems where the IRQ line is shared with another device.
