Use-after-free in Linux kernel - CVE-2026-72384
Published: August 16, 2026
Vulnerability details
The vulnerability allows a local user to cause a denial of service.
The vulnerability exists due to a use-after-free in the ts4800 irqchip chained interrupt handler when the parent interrupt fires after the driver has been removed. A local user can trigger the parent interrupt after driver removal to cause a denial of service.
The issue stems from the chained handler not being cleared during device removal, leaving a dangling handler reference.
